What is the program

Braemar College High School offers courses from grade 9 to 12. Braemar is inspected and accredited by the Ontario Ministry of Education. Graduates receive the Ontario Secondary Diploma (OSSD)

A Tradition of Excellence

Since 1995 Braemar has offered young people from all around the world a caring and supportive learning atmosphere. Our graduates have entered—and thrived in—some of North America’s top universities.

Fast Track Semester System

Our unique semester system provides students with advantages they will find nowhere else. Braemar has five intake periods per year. (To see more information about starting dates, click here) This means students can begin, or graduate, five times each year. It also means that students requiring less than eight credits can finish sooner than students in regular schools, which often have only two semesters.

A Focused Study Plan

Each semester is nine weeks long, during which our students focus exclusively on only two courses (except for students enrolled in the Express Program, who have three; for information about the Express Program, click here.)

Dedicated Education Professionals

Our teachers are a caring, expert, and dynamic team of education professionals. They are certified members of the Ontario College of Teachers. Many are experienced working in different cultures and in different parts of the world. And all are dedicated to providing their students with the best possible learning experience.

Classes

As a rule our classes are small and orderly, and average at about fifteen students. The classroom is a place of learning, which means disruptive behavior is not tolerated.

That Extra Mile

Braemar is also a team of caring and supportive administrators. Every effort is made to ensure students are comfortable and happy in their homestay, and are fully involved in the school community.

Guidance

Our Guidance department works closely with students to develop a study plan to ensure they achieve their goals. Students intending to continue onto college or university can take advantage of our extensive experience in our University Preparation Program.
